High School Franchise - General Information
DISCLAIMER REGARDING "High School Franchise Teams" (HSFT) and "Middle School Feeder Teams" (MSFT)
Any reference made by an NVTBL team to a "Public High School" or a "Public Middle School" should not be interpreted as an endorsement or involvement by said "Public High School" or "Public Middle School".
HSFT & MSFT Teams participating in NVTBL have NO connection or affiliation with "Public High Schools" or "Public Middle Schools". The name(s) of a Particular "Public High School" or "Public Middle School" may be used to describe the geographic area in which the players of that team will generally reside.

The following provides a detailed explanation of each team type:

HIGH SCHOOL FRANCHISE TEAMS:

  • Teams participate in the NVTBL JV and Varsity divisions.
  • Teams are generally composed of players who live within the geographic boundaries of each "Public High School" or "Public Middle School" in the Northern Virginia & Maryland areas.
  • Eligible players are required to be rostered on a public or private high school team. (Waivers are available upon request.)
  • The teams' Managers/Organizer's are NOT selected and approved by NVTBL.
  • Each team's Manager is responsible for selecting players and for extending invitations to play.

  • MIDDLE SCHOOL FEEDER TEAMS:
  • Teams play in the NVTBL 13U and 14U age divisions.
  • Teams are generally composed of players who live within the geographic boundaries of an area "Public High School" or "Public Middle School".
  • Managers are generally parents interested in forming teams of players who will eventually attend the same high school.
  • The teams' Managers/Organizer's are NOT selected and approved by NVTBL.
  • Each team's Manager is responsible for selecting players and extending invitations to play.
